Prof. PhDr. Mgr. Helena Kadučáková, PhD

Faculty of Health Sciences, Catholic University in Ružomberok, Slovak Republic

Helena Kadučáková completed her habilitation and inauguration procedure at St. Elizabeth University of Health and Social Work in Bratislava. She worked in clinical practice for 22 years as a paediatric nurse in an intensive care unit.

Since 2003, she has been affiliated with the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Catholic University in Ružomberok. As a member of the working group of the Accreditation Commission of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic for further education of health workers in the nurse category, and as a member of the National Commission for the Education Programme of Nurses and Midwives, she contributed to the development of higher education for nurses in Slovakia.

At the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Catholic University in Ružomberok, she served as Vice-Dean for Education and later as Vice-Dean for Accreditation and Quality. As Vice-Rector for Education, she was involved in research teams implementing projects focused on improving the quality of education, research, management systems, and quality culture at the Catholic University in Ružomberok.

She is the author of university textbooks, monographs, and numerous scientific and professional publications issued in domestic and international journals and conference proceedings.

She is currently a member of the Presidium of the Association of Universities of the Third Age in Slovakia. At the Faculty of Health Sciences, she acts as a guarantor of the nursing study programme. She is also a member of research projects and serves as a guarantor and member of scientific committees of domestic and international conferences.

Her scientific and research interests focus on children’s palliative and hospice care.
