State & Society

About

Państwo i Społeczeństwo / State & Society is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by AFM Publishing House of Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University. Established in 2001, the journal provides an interdisciplinary forum for high-quality research on the relationships between public institutions, health systems, social structures, governance, education, spatial development, and organisational performance.

The journal is committed to publishing methodologically rigorous and intellectually relevant scholarship that advances understanding of contemporary societies and the institutions that shape them. Its scope reflects the complexity of modern public life, where health, governance, management, education, communication, psychology, and the built environment increasingly intersect.

State and Society welcomes original research articles, review papers, case studies, and editorial commentaries in health sciences, social sciences, management and quality sciences, public administration, pedagogy, psychology, communication and media studies, architecture, and urban planning. The journal particularly values empirical, comparative, interdisciplinary, and policy-relevant contributions that offer clear theoretical, methodological, or practical insight.

A substantial part of the journal’s profile is devoted to health sciences, public health, healthcare organisation, quality improvement, and system performance. At the same time, the journal remains open to broader social, institutional, educational, psychological, managerial, and spatial perspectives on the development of contemporary societies.

The journal addresses an international readership of researchers, academics, healthcare professionals, public administrators, policymakers, institutional leaders, and experts interested in the interaction between state, society, public institutions, and quality of life.

Państwo i Społeczeństwo / State & Society is published in open access. The journal does not charge authors any submission, editorial processing, or publication fees.
