Professor at the Faculty of Management, Media and Technology of Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University, and Vice-President of the Board of the Women Scientists Foundation – Polish Women Scientists Network. She is a media scholar, public administration specialist, and political scientist specialising in management in new media, modern communication technologies, artificial intelligence, and their application in information management. Her research also covers social networks and social interactions in the Internet era, as well as cross-sectoral cooperation for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

She is the author of numerous scientific publications. Her major articles include works on the role of non-governmental organisations in environmental security management, the use of blockchain in digital administration, and socio-political analyses in the context of digital media.

From June to July 2012, she was a scholarship holder of the Foundation for Polish Science, which enabled her to carry out a research project at Stanford University in California and to deepen her knowledge of new media and their role in shaping contemporary socio-political processes.
