Krzysztof Dyga is a graduate of the Faculty of Philosophy of the Jagiellonian University, where he obtained an MA in Psychology in 2013, and of the Faculty of Philology of the Jagiellonian University, where he completed a BA in Comparative Studies in 2007. He also completed a four-year postgraduate programme in psychotherapy at the Collegium Medicum of the Jagiellonian University. He has been professionally active as a psychologist and psychotherapist for over a dozen years.

In 2023, he defended his doctoral dissertation, “Identity of Persons Diagnosed with Bipolar Affective Disorder: A Metaclinical Perspective”, at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Jagiellonian University. His academic achievements include several publications in renowned Polish and international journals and numerous conference presentations in the fields of psychology, psychiatry, and psychotherapy.

His research interests focus particularly on clinical psychology, personality psychology, psychology of religion and spirituality, clinical psychiatry, philosophy of psychiatry, and psychotherapy.

Since 2025, he has been employed at Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University, and since 2026 he has held the position of Assistant Professor in the Psychology programme at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Philology.

He is a member of the Polish Psychological Association, the Psychotherapy Section of the Polish Psychological Association, the Polish Psychiatric Association, the Scientific Section of Psychotherapy of the Polish Psychiatric Association, the Polish Society for the Psychology of Religion and Spirituality, the Polish Society for Psychological and Social Approaches to Psychosis, the International Society for Psychological and Social Approaches to Psychoses, and the International Society for Bipolar Disorders.

His interests include psychological understanding of bipolar disorders and their psychotherapy, self and identity, clinical psychology, personality psychology, spirituality and mental health, narcissism, critical psychiatry and philosophy of psychiatry, psychotherapy effectiveness, psychology of music, music subcultures, ecopsychiatry, idiography, and qualitative research.
