Joanna Aksman
Joanna Aksman holds a PhD in Humanities and graduated in Pedagogy from the Jagiellonian University. From 2008 to 2025, she served as Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, Pedagogy and Humanities at Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University. She is Head of the Department of Preschool and Early School Pedagogy, supervisor of the UAFM Pedagogues’ Student Research Club, and a member of the Polish Pedagogical Society, the Polish Society for Media Education, and the Polish Communication Association.
She has served as a consultant for educational films for teachers and students of pedagogy, including films presenting the assumptions of the NSE model and instructional films on its implementation in early school education. Since 2017, she has organised and promoted pedagogical theatre at UAFM in cooperation with director Artur Dobrzański. She is the author of numerous curricula and study plans for pedagogues and teachers of preschool and early school education at first- and second-cycle degree programmes and postgraduate studies.
Her main academic and research interests include preschool and early school education, art education of younger school-age children, gifted younger school-age children, health education and the development of children’s life skills, pedagogical diagnostics, media education of children and teachers, and manipulation and its pedagogical and social aspects.
