Krakowskie Studia Międzynarodowe / Krakow International Studies

Krakowskie Studia Międzynarodowe / Krakow International Studies is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by AFM Publishing House of Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University.  Established in 2004, the journal is devoted to the study of contemporary international relations, with particular emphasis on political, military, legal, economic, and cultural transformations in both global and regional contexts. Its mission is to provide a platform for in‑depth reflection on the key challenges of the modern world and to foster the integration of research conducted in Poland and abroad.

The Editorial Board welcomes a wide range of theoretical perspectives – from realism and liberalism, through constructivism and critical approaches, to cultural and economic studies – provided they offer a meaningful contribution to the development of International Relations as an academic discipline. The journal publishes articles in Polish and English and accepts only original works of high scholarly value, grounded in solid theoretical and methodological foundations.

Since 2026, Krakowskie Studia Międzynarodowe / Krakow International Studies has been published as an annual journal with continuous publication. Articles are published online on an ongoing basis after editorial acceptance, peer review, copyediting, and production, and are subsequently included in the annual volume.

The journal publishes articles in English and Polish. In line with its international development strategy, authors are strongly encouraged to submit manuscripts in English, which is the recommended language for new submissions.

Krakow International Studies is published in open access and does not charge authors any submission fees, editorial processing charges, article processing charges, page charges, colour charges, or publication fees.
