About
The journal Studies in Law: Research Papers is published by the AFM Publishing House on behalf of the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University. It has been published since 2005 as an academic journal, and since 2016, the journal's primary publication has been an electronic version. Currently, Studies in Law: Research Papers is an annual issue.
Studies in Law: Research Papers is a peer-reviewed academic journal whose guiding principle is to create a space for informed and multidimensional debate on contemporary and future challenges to law. The articles published in the journal cover key issues from the perspective of the development of legal science and practice, from both a dogmatic and a critical-analytical perspective.
Aims and Scope
The journal focuses particularly on topics at the intersection of law, technology, and society, addressing such issues as artificial intelligence, medicine of the future, the digitization of law, bioethics, and the modern justice system. Our goal is to support the development of "law of the future"—a reflection on how dynamic technological, scientific, and social progress influences the shaping and functioning of contemporary legal systems.
The journal's thematic scope encompasses all fundamental areas of law—both public and private. It publishes original scholarly articles, commentaries, and case studies, covering topics such as constitutional, criminal, civil, administrative, medical, international, and new technologies law.
The journal is published twice a year in the form of thematic issues. Each issue contains publications from various fields of law, focused on a selected central theme. Articles are published in Polish and English.
Studies in Law: Research Papers is addressed to anyone interested in current issues in legal science, particularly to representatives of the academic community and legal practitioners.
