About the Journal

Medicine and Public Health is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published by AFM Publishing House of Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University in cooperation with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.

The primary aim of the journal is to provide a global, multidisciplinary platform for researchers and medical practitioners across all fields of medicine and health sciences, facilitating the dissemination of clinical research findings, epidemiological evaluations, and health policy analyses. The journal publishes original research papers, review articles, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, short communications, clinical case reports, and pharmacological reports investigating biological, clinical, environmental, and organizational factors influencing individual and population health. A focal area of the journal’s scope encompasses the ethics and integrity of medical practice, public health interventions, and Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM).

Annual journal Continuous publication

Since 2026, Medicine and Public Health has been published as an annual journal with continuous publication. Articles are published online on an ongoing basis immediately after peer review, editorial acceptance, copyediting, and production, and are subsequently collated into the annual volume. This model ensures rapid dissemination of medical discoveries while maintaining annual volume indexing continuity.

English

Medicine and Public Health publishes articles exclusively in English. In accordance with the journal’s international development strategy and indexation requirements in global biomedical databases (including Scopus and Web of Science), all submitted manuscripts, structured abstracts, keywords, figures, tables, and reference lists must be prepared entirely in English. Submissions in other languages are not considered.

Medicine and Public Health welcomes original research articles, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, clinical case reports, short communications, and clinical practice commentaries within the following disciplines:

Open access No author fees (Diamond OA)

Medicine and Public Health is published under a Diamond Open Access model. The journal charges no article processing charges (APCs), submission fees, editorial processing fees, page charges, colour charges, or publication fees. All publication costs are fully subsidized by the Publisher.

The journal does not accept or display commercial advertisements or promotional material on its website or within its published scientific articles.
