About the Journal

Medicine and Public Health is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published by AFM Publishing House of Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University in cooperation with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.

The primary aim of the journal is to provide a global, multidisciplinary platform for researchers and medical practitioners across all fields of medicine and health sciences, facilitating the dissemination of research findings and the exchange of clinical experience. The journal publishes original research papers, review articles, meta-analyses, short communications, case reports, and pharmacological reports investigating key biological, environmental, social, and organizational factors influencing individual and public health. A focal area of the journal’s scope encompasses the ethics and integrity of medical practice, as well as Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM).

Annual journal Continuous publication

Since 2026, Medicine and Public Health has been published as an annual journal with continuous publication. Articles are published online on an ongoing basis after editorial acceptance, peer review, copyediting, and production, and are subsequently included in the annual volume. This model supports faster dissemination of accepted research while maintaining the journal’s annual publication structure and editorial continuity.

Medicine and Public Health publishes articles exclusively in English. In accordance with the journal’s international development strategy and indexation standards in Scopus and Web of Science, all submitted manuscripts, structured abstracts, keywords, figures, tables, and references must be prepared entirely in English. Submissions in other languages are not accepted

Open access No author fees

Medicine and Public Health is published in open access. The journal does not charge authors any submission fees, editorial processing charges, article processing charges, page charges, colour charges, or publication fees.

The journal does not accept or publish any commercial advertisements on its website or in its published articles.
